Lawrance & Michelle

We were introduced by a mutual friend 17 years and because we mixed in different circles, Lawrance in sports and music and Michelle in the entertainment field we did not see each other for a few years.

About 7 years ago at a social event in Streatham, we met again and exchanged numbers and soon after we were dating!

What we didn’t know at the time was quite amazing : We are both Mauritians born in the UK, we were the youngest of our siblings, speak Creole, love our native Sega music and very family orientated. Just as interesting is my Uncle and Lawrance’s dad worked together back home in Mauritius - Uncle used to pick up Lawrance’s dad for work every morning. Uncle always talked about Lawrance’s dad and the good old days, we never knew until after we started dating who Uncle meant…

Over the years we’ve grown as a couple, we pray as a couple and our faith in God has brought us where we are today.  We’ve had a great time going on holidays and attending many parties and getting to know each other, our families and friends. We decided we want nothing more than to spend the rest of our lives together and got engaged last August.
